South West Ireland
Incorporating the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beera. We took the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin, then the coach from Dublin to Kenmare - with our bikes. The scenery and cycling were tremendous, and we some great food and beer.
We used Kenmare as our base camp.
Visit the Famous MacCarthy's Bar.
Coast to Coast
The first tour we did. From England's West Coast to East Coast using the well trodden National Cycle Network routes. Lots of varied and wonderful country side and varied terrain to cross.
A weekend tour along the not so flat Norfolk Coast Line.
Isle of Wight
We left our bikes in Portsmouth and cycled to the most Westerly, Southerly, Easterly and Northerly points of the Island.
A weelend camping tour around and about Ashbourne using the Tissington Trail and the Manifold Trail. It was wet but we still enjoyed it.
Route 68 PLUS
We got the train to Edinburgh and cycled home to Derbyshire using mainly National Cycle Network Route 68. This is very challenging but takes you through all the best bits - Kielder Forest, North Yorkshire Moors, High Peak etc.
A circular tour starting and ending in Plymouth, and traversing Dartmoor past the infamous prison.
York, Beverley, Hull and back. Highlighted by an accident in Beverley involving a bollard and a visit to a cycle shop. We were helped greatly me the kind people at cafe velo beverley.
